Caleb is doing so well. He has not had any bad days and has more energy than usual. My biggest problem is trying to get him to settle down and rest. I am so glad he doesn't hurt, but was looking forward to a little down time. He's a pistol most of the time. Thankfully he can go back to soccer next week. Maybe he can run the energy away. Better yet he can give it to me.
Maddie is walking so much now. She is getting so fast and wants to walk and be down all the time. She is learning more words everyday. Her newest words are "wuv, wuv"{love, love), "woe, woe"(Row, Row), and "bub". She loves to play Row, Row, Row Your Boat(woe, woe). She calls Caleb (bub). It is so much fun watching her play. Scott and I will just sit and watch her play and have the best time doing it.
As many of you know I have been having some health problems and have not been myself. I have classic Mono symptoms with joint and muscle pain. I am on some medecine that helps with the pain, it is the fatigue I can't seem to get past. I have the best friends in the world. They have been bringing me meals and praying for me and calling to check on me. I am so blessed. Thanks to all of you. You don't know how much it means to me. I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. Let's have a girls night soon!
I am Becca. I live in Alabama with my husband Scott and our 4 kids Luke, Caleb, Parker and Madeleine Claire. I love being a mother and wife and staying home with the kids. I love sewing, watching old movies, watching college football, wine, Italian food and road trips. I love our church and our new friends. God has blessed me more than I can ever try to tell. I pray my life is an example of his love and mercy.

Caleb's Tonsilectomy
We got to Children's South about 9:45. We were taken back immediately and put in his room. There was a fish on the door with his name on it. He thought that was really cool. He had to change into his gown and then we talked to the nurse. She told him they had a Buzz Lightyear spaceship mask and he got to pick out the flavor smell he wanted for the giggle gas. He chose cotton candy(he really is my son). They came and got him soon after that. He was such a big boy and walked down the hall with the nurse and didn't even look back. Thank goodness 'cause his momma was bawlin'. About 45 minutes later he was back with us. He was so big and brave. I was really proud of him. I just held and rocked my baby. He has had a good couple of days and he has been a trooper. The doctors and nurses were wonderful and took care of my baby when he wasn't with me. One of the best hospital experiences I have ever had. Thank you for all your prayers.

Coffee Time
I met my friend Michelle tonight for some coffee and girl talk. It was so nice not to be interrupted with Mommy and Honey. We talked and laughed about everything and nothing at the same time. It is nice to have a friend that you can be real with and not be afraid she will run screaming. What you see is what you get and she totally gets me. I should be asleep by now but I guess that is what caffeine will do for you. If you are reading this please pray for Caleb's surgery tomorrow. I know he is in God's hands but a little prayer helps keep my mind at ease. Thanks Michelle for a fun night. I needed a girl's night.

Daddy's girl
Scott loves to put Madeleine to bed. He gets her ready for bed and then dances with her and holds her and tucks her in. This is a routine they both love. Madeleine has a bad habit of blinking when she sees the camera. I hope she overcomes this.
"Reading" time!
The other night Parker had to go potty. He went in there and about 10 minutes later I was getting worried and went to go check on him. This is what I found when I went in there. He was looking at one of Scott's boat magazines. I thought it was such a great pic of a boy's boy. Sitting on the toilet reading a magazine. I didn't realize it started this young. Lord help me! I have 4 guys in my house. That is alot of "reading time."

I've been tagged!
You've been tagged!
Here's the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Here are 7 random facts about me!
1. I was in pageants when I was little and I won most of them.
2. I don't like getting my hands cold. That is why I have a fridge with an ice dispenser. And don't even think I will get you ice cream. My kids don't get popsicles because I don't like holding the cold things.
3. I have a fear of feet that is unexplainable. If feet get near me I will start sweating and start gagging. Even my kids know they can't get their feet near me. I'm gagging right now thinking about feet.
4. I was a ballet dancer for 10 years and even now find myself practicing when I have to stand in line. I know, I know I'm an uber dork!
5. I like frogs and lizards. I think it's from trying to scare my mom and sister with them. They are so cute and green.
6. I am a beach bum. I love the beach, sand, water, margaritas and sun. I could live at the beach. I wish summer was here I need a beach fix.
7. My life long dream was to be on Broadway. I love plays and anything to do with musicals. Unfortunately I wasn't given the gift of song. I can dance my booty off but I can't sing. At least I have one claim to Broadway fame. I taught a guy I knew in high school to dance and he has been on Broadway for 6 years. He is in Stomp. How cool is that!
The people I tag are: Jamie, Penny, Heidi, Andrea, Kim, Kimmy, Caroline.

Kim
I have been thinking about my life. My childhood, my hopes, my dreams, my sister. I was born on August 3, 1978. I had a mom, dad and an older sister named Kim. Kim was 6 years older than me and I thought she was the best thing in the world. When I was 3 my baby sister Robyn was born. For a long time I thought she was a pest and brat, but now she is my best friend and I don't know what I would do without her. It was a normal life. Lots of playing, ballet, school and bugging my Kim and my cousin Donna. On October 9, 1982 our whole world changed. We had gone to my aunt's house in Florida to visit. They were building a house and had a bush hog tractor on the property. The kids thought it would be fun to take turns riding on the tractor while my uncle drives it around. After a couple of turns my sister and cousin take another ride this time sitting on the hood of the tractor. Next thing we know my sister and cousin fall off and the tractor runs over my sister. Jesus took her home that day. This shakes my family to the core. Our entire family dynamic changes. We are now a family of 4 not 5. We are now the family who you have to whisper around. We are the family that you feel sorry for. I remember being so angry with everyone. I hated the look of pity and the soft pats on the head whenever we went anywhere. The adults would whisper not knowing I knew what they were whispering. Everyone tried to shield me from the pain not realizing they were only adding to the pain and anger. They didn't want to talk about it afraid I would get upset. That was the worst thing they could do. Eventually we got past it and returned to a somewhat normal life. Back to ballet, school and playing. It is hard to think what would have been. I know God is sovereign and He knew what He was doing. I know Kim had her days numbered like the rest of us. It still is hard to wonder about what things would be like. Would she be married? Would I be an Aunt? Would she like my hubbie? How would she have helped me through my divorce? Would we still be as close as we were then? When I visit her gravesite, which isn't often, I tell her about my life. I know it probably sounds weird but it is how I cope. After she died the things I wanted didn't seem to matter as much anymore. Even though I was only 5 it has shaped my entire life. She is always there in the background. I tell my kids about her and keep her as involved in my life as I can. Material things don't matter much to me anymore and haven't since that day. I promised my sister I would see her again one day. I know that is one promise I can keep. God has helped me through her death and has shown me His sovereignty through it. He has used her death as a life lesson I might not have received otherwise. I try to live my life so her life was not in vain. I can't wait to get to heaven and see her waiting for me. To have her arms around me and to run and play and giggle like we used to. To share in all the sister moments we missed. Most of all to glorify our King together like we used to. To sing praises to Him. Kim will always be a part of my life. She has changed me and continues to each year that passes. She will forever live on through me and through the stories I tell my kids.

Random pics I love
I love taking random pics of the kids. It is hard with Madeleine because she loves to pose and ham it up in front of the camera. Can we say DIVA? Anyway I took these the other day and fell in love with the randomness of it all. Is there anything cuter than a baby sucking her thumb?
